What is the deal with these pointy, pointy shoes? I've seen women wearing them in the office and I just think, WTF? I don't think they look appealing. They look unnatural.
I assume they are for killing roaches in corners.

A few years ago, the trend was shoes with really square toes in the front. Now, of course, those with square toes are frightfully mad. To be wearing square toes now is frightfully bad.

The ugly sneakers were from Lady Footlocker. The clerk told us that they had been priced at $2.99 over Memorial day weekend and still didn't sell a single pair. Nice to know you don't have to pay a lot for cruel shoes when you need them, in any case.
The roach-killers were Nine West and not cheap, although I think they had been marked down. I imagine they would make someone with a super-long middle toe really happy.
I see those all the time on that TLC makeover show "What Not To Wear". They are always telling the ladies to wear these butt-fugly pointy toed stupid looking shoes.
I'm no fan of high heels either due to their health/comfort impact.
At least the pointy shoes (I'm told) are wide in the toe area, and the pointy bit happens beyond the toes. So in theory, they don't pinch your toes, they just make you look stupid.
Anyway, if anyone out there is harboring the delusion that shoes like these make you look sexy let me clear that up right now:
I'm a guy who finds the beauty in everyone and I think these shoes look ridiculous and ugly. Don't let the fashion-setters push you around. These shoes look dumb, you know they look dumb, and so does everyone else. Don't forget the fashion-setters gave us the "insanely huge pants" (a.k.a. "the walking trashbag") look not long ago. Don't be a pawn. It's okay to want to look sexy, or strong, or whatever... but don't look stupid when you are smart enough to know better.
